He added that the EU is currently discussing a fifth package of sanctions.

According to Kulganek, restrictive measures could be introduced against representatives of the Belarusian authorities responsible for the migration crisis on the border with Lithuania and involved in the story with the athlete Kristina Timanovskaya.

The official also noted that one should be wary of proposals to limit the issuance of visas to citizens of Belarus to the EU countries.
