The American men's 4x400m relay won the Olympic title on Saturday in Tokyo in 2.55.70, ahead of the Netherlands (2: 57.18) and Botswana (2: 57.27).

Michael Cherry, Michael Norman, Bryce Deadmon and Rai Benjamin have saved the honor of the country king of athletics: the American runners men had not won any title in Tokyo so far.

The United States thus retain their title despite the complete renewal of their quartet.

Training partners at the University of Southern California (USC), Norman and Benjamin take revenge after failing to win an individual gold medal.

Norman finished 5th in the 400m and Rai Benjamin was dominated in the 400m hurdles by world record holder Karsten Warholm.
