While the extension of the health pass validated this week by the Constitutional Council is about to come into force in France, more than 200,000 demonstrators opposed to this tool in the fight against the epidemic should gather everywhere in France this Saturday.

In Paris, four processions are planned.

The day after the promulgation of the law on the extension of the health pass, the mobilization against this tool in the fight against the Covid-19 epidemic promises to be important this Saturday in France.

About 200,000 demonstrators are expected by the authorities in more than 150 cities across the country.

In the middle of summer, the processions have continued to gain in importance since the introduction, on July 21, of the sanitary pass in certain places of leisure and culture.

They gathered more than 204,000 people on July 31, against 161,000 a week earlier, according to the Interior Ministry.

"We expect the same number of demonstrators globally," predicts a police source.

10,000 people expected in Paris

In Paris, territorial intelligence expects more than 10,000 people.

Four events are planned.

One of them will leave from Pont-de-Neuilly metro at 12:30 p.m.

It was declared by a former "yellow vest".

This is the most risky mobilization, a police source told Europe 1.

The police are also preparing for wild processions and attempts by some demonstrators, like last Saturday, to join the Champs-Élysées, the symbol of the protest since the mobilization of "yellow vests".

Around 10,000 people are also expected in Montpellier.

The authorities also anticipate gatherings of 4,000 to 8,000 demonstrators in Toulon, Bordeaux, Perpignan, Nice, Mulhouse and Nantes.

Hundreds of groups have relayed these calls to demonstrate against the health pass on social networks.

Their slogan: the defense of individual freedoms and a rejection of Emmanuel Macron's policy.

And two days before the entry into force of the extension of this health pass for adults, another subject is already crystallizing the anger of the demonstrators.

This is the question of extending this pass to children from the age of 12.

This is scheduled for September 30th.
