A dance teacher was indicted on Friday in Brest (Finistère) in particular for "rape and sexual assault committed on a minor by a person in authority", announced the prosecution on Friday evening.
The facts relate to the period "between 2008 and December 2020 on nine victims", according to the press release.
Placed in police custody on Wednesday, the man is also indicted for "rape and sexual assault by a person abusing the authority conferred on him by his function" as well as "corruption of a minor".
"The prosecution requested his placement in pre-trial detention" but the defendant was finally "placed under judicial control by the judge of freedoms and detention" with "in particular the ban on appearing in Finistère and exercising any activity involving habitual contact with minors, ”adds the press release.
