06 August 2021 Positive closures for all European stock exchanges, in particular for Milan, the pink jersey in this last session of the week. Piazza Affari gains 1.30% (overall progress has been around two percentage points since Monday). London is the weakest at + 0.04%, Frankfurt + 0.11% and Paris + 0.53%. A few stocks are flying in Piazza Affari after the presentation of the quarterly results: Bper is up + 10.65%, Banco Bpm + 7.33% and Pirelli + 7.24%. In the US, 943,000 new jobs were created in July, so the unemployment rate drops to 5.4%. Data that surprised even analysts positively, but that push Wall Street only halfway. The Dow Jones gains 0.36% and the Nasdaq loses half a point. Gold, a safe haven asset par excellence, slows down and is quoted at 1,763 dollars an ounce.
