- I thought that now that I have the chance and have received so much Lego, I can do something that I have "dreamed" about since the age of ten - to build my own car in full scale, says David Gustafsson, who lives in Jönköping.

The 21-year-old Lego creator has been building Lego since he was one year old.

Nowadays, he can support himself by designing Lego creations for various companies.

Last year, he won the Lego Masters, together with Rickard Stensby, and the win was just over 370,000 Lego pieces.

He lives in his studio in Bankeryd when he builds.

Lego tour

The biggest project right now is the construction that will be a copy of David's own Volvo - in life size.

He aims to be ready within a year.

- Then the plan is to rent out the car to various creators who want to create interests.

A building like this attracts quite a lot of attention.

It might also be a Sweden tour or even a European tour, he says.

What on the car is not made of Lego?

- There is a large frame under the whole car that is made of steel.

It also has two axles, real tires and rims and a large wooden floor.

Everything on top of that will consist of Lego.

Will the car be able to drive?

- Yes, I hope so, right now it is possible to roll it and turn.

I would really like to get an electric motor on the rear axle, so that you can drive it a bit, says David Gustafsson.
