The department noted that the negotiations with Russia on the supply of Russian vaccines were conducted personally by the president of the republic, Aslan Bzhania.

In June, the Abkhaz authorities turned to Russia for help in the fight against coronavirus infection.

According to the head of the Ministry of Health of the republic, Eduard Butba, the incidence of COVID-19 is growing in the region.
