A 17-year-old Indian youth succeeded in achieving impressive high school exams at the Indian Central Board of Secondary Education, which amounted to 97.2%, after he managed to overcome the emerging "Corona" virus and reduce complications of bone cancer, known as "Ewing's sarcoma". It is one of the rare diseases in the world, at the hands of an Emirati medical team.

The Emirati medical team, under the supervision of a consultant oncologist and cancer, Professor Humaid bin Harmal Al Shamsi, was able to help the young “Bebin Baldev Raj” to get rid of the “Covid 19” epidemic, and reduce the effects of bone cancer, which was diagnosed as stage IV, which is a stage This disease is very advanced.

The team worked to encourage the young Raj to continue his studies and excel while he was on a hospital bed, in fulfillment of his ambition to continue studying and succeed.

Despite the chemotherapy and its complications, Raj continued his studies from the hospital through "distance learning", to get 97.2% in the exams of the Indian Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), for the twelfth grade, whose results were announced recently.

Raj aspires to become a lawyer.

The Director of the Oncology Center at Burjeel Hospital in the capital, Abu Dhabi, Professor Hamid bin Harmal Al Shamsi, who is the doctor supervising the case of "Rag", said that the UAE possesses all the global capabilities in the field of cancer treatment, including cancer diseases in children, in light of what the sector possesses. The healthcare system in the country has internationally distinguished human expertise and competencies, in addition to the availability of the latest medical devices and equipment.

Al Shamsi considered that dealing with a double challenge represented in treating the “Covid 19” epidemic and an advanced stage of bone cancer is a great success.

Ewing's sarcoma is a rare type of cancer that occurs in the bones or in the soft tissues around the bones.

The disease is more common in children and adolescents, but it can occur at all ages.

Raj said: "My illness was a blessing that enabled me to transfer learning from the classroom to distance learning, so that I could receive my lessons and homework from the sick bed."
