"The State Department continues to advise ... not to travel to Russia," - follows from the statement.

Washington calls on US citizens "not to travel to the North Caucasus, including Chechnya," allegedly because of "terrorism, kidnapping and the risk of civil unrest" taking place there, as well as to Crimea in connection with the "occupation of Ukrainian territory by Russia."
