According to the website "Ministry of Internal Affairs-Media", an online meeting of the First Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Colonel-General of Police Alexander Gorovoy with the ambassadors of foreign states took place.

The event was attended by representatives of Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and Ukraine.

"Alexander Gorovoy noted that this year there is a 5% increase in the number of crimes committed by foreign citizens," the message says.

It is noted that “along with this, in their midst there is an increase in illegal activity, manifested in gross violation of public order, mass fights, which in many cases is accompanied by violent actions that threaten the life and safety of citizens, the use of force against government officials, as well as obstruction normal functioning of life support facilities, transport and social infrastructure ”.

Earlier, the Interior Ministry said that more than 700 thousand immigrants from the CIS countries are illegally in the country.
