"A man suspected of attempted murder of a young son in the south-east of Moscow has been detained," the report says.
As previously reported, on the evening of August 4, a two-year-old boy with injuries typical of falling from a height was found near a house on Shumilov Street.
The child was hospitalized in serious condition.
It was established that his father threw him from the balcony of the fifth floor, after which he disappeared.
The whereabouts of the man have been established, and in the near future he will be delivered to the unit for conducting investigative actions, the department informed.
