The reporter learned from the meeting that the Dongguan Taiwan Expo has been upgraded from a municipal exhibition to a provincial exhibition to build a platform for industrial cooperation and integration between Taiwanese enterprises.
Since its establishment in 2010, the Dongguan Taiwan Expo has been successfully held for eleven sessions, attracting a total of 2.694 million visits and purchases, with a total transaction amount of 28.145 billion yuan, becoming an influential industrial cooperation platform on both sides of the strait.
The 12th Dongguan Taiwan Expo will be held at the Guangdong Modern International Exhibition Center from October 28 to 31 this year. At present, 316 companies have signed up to participate in the exhibition, accounting for 90% of the target number of exhibitions.
These include 5G and semiconductor companies such as Inventec Group, AU Optronics, Lingqun Computer, Delta Electronics, and Weisheng Electronics, as well as leading companies in the industry such as Guangsheng Toys, Mingmen Kids, Yunshitong Furniture, and Xu Fuji.
According to the organizer, the Dongguan Taiwan Expo will be upgraded from a municipal exhibition to a provincial exhibition. It will be organized by the Taiwan Affairs Office of the Guangdong Provincial People’s Government, the Guangdong Provincial Department of Commerce, the Dongguan Municipal People’s Government, the National Taiwan Enterprise Federation, and the Cross-Strait Economic and Trade Exchange Association. The exhibition area was expanded to 30,000 square meters, with 1,200 preset booths and about 400 exhibitors invited.
This year's Dongguan Taiwan Expo will set up three major zones, namely a cross-strait electronic industry cooperation zone, a cross-strait special zone, and a buyer docking marketing zone, focusing on the 5G, Internet of Things, semiconductors, smart life, and electronic information industry ecosystems. Taiwanese businessmen and Taiwanese enterprises have built a professional platform for market expansion and procurement docking, and a broad stage for industrial cooperation and integrated development across the Taiwan Strait.
