"On August 3, 2021, the Sixth Administrative Court of Appeal upheld the appeal of the NAPK and canceled the ruling of the Kiev District Administrative Court, which stopped the action of the NAPK's order to the Cabinet of Ministers," Ukrainska Pravda quotes the court's decision.

In its order, NAPK requires the government to terminate the contract with Vitrenko.

The chairman of the NAPK, Alexander Novikov, said that the government should cancel the decree on the appointment of Vitrenko as illegal.

In April, the former head of Naftogaz, Andrei Kobolev, said that he learned about his dismissal from the news.

Vitrenko was appointed the head of the board of the company.

Prior to that, he served as the Minister of Energy.

Naftogaz called the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers to change the company's leadership a legal manipulation.
