Since the restrictions eased in July, there have been about two to four cases of covid-19 a day in Blekinge, according to Kirsti Linström, infection control nurse in the Blekinge Region.

Now, however, you see an increase.

- It is too early to say the reason after just one measurement, but many people have a holiday then you might be out traveling and inventing things, says Kirsti Lindström.

More have been tested

Most have been infected in Blekinge and are up to 40 years old. A few tourists have also tested positive. There is also an increase in the number of tests performed, which indicates that more people feel the need to test themselves, according to Kirsti Lindström.

- On Monday, we will know more, whether this is a one-time illness or whether the increase will continue, says Kirsti Linström, infection control nurse in Region Blekinge.
