Lioubov Sobol is
no longer allowed to leave her home between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. for 18 months.
She is also banned from participating in collective gatherings and will have to undergo a judicial review three times a month.
A little over a month before the legislative elections, the opponent denounced an absurd and unfounded political procedure.
Last January, she called for a demonstration to denounce the detention of
Alexeï Navalny
.
Demonstrations that the authorities had banned citing the increased risks of the Covid-19 dispersal.
This motive nevertheless enabled them to prosecute the opponent, as well as other figures of the Russian opposition who had called for support Alexeï Navalny.
Lioubov Sobol owes his popularity to his activity as a lawyer for the now dissolved Anti-Corruption Fund.
In the summer of 2019, in Moscow, it was she who had animated the demonstrations preceding the local elections.
We saw her again in videos posted on YouTube alongside Alexeï Navalny to denounce the sumptuous lifestyle of those close to power.
