The American superstar Simone Biles, stopped for a week, passed to the beam Tuesday during the last women's gymnastics final of the Tokyo Olympics, obtaining a score of 14,000 points.

Biles, four-time Olympic champion in Rio and expected star of the Games, faces a loss of confidence and a phenomenon of loss of landmarks in space which pushed her to stop the competition in the middle of the all-around team final, to the general amazement, and to give up since four finals.

On Tuesday, she completed her exercise smoothly but with a less spectacular outing than she usually does, without spins.

The phenomenon of "loss of face" which causes it to lose its bearings in space, is particularly problematic on rear acrobatics comprising twists according to specialists.

Before the competition kicked off at the Ariake gymnastics in Tokyo, she had quietly warmed up with teammate Sunisa Lee - who won the all-around in her absence - and repeated her movement with no-spin exits.
