Coronavirus: 4,945 new cases and 27 deaths since yesterday, with 209,719 swabs

There are 4,845 Covid test positives identified in the last 24 hours, according to data from the Ministry of Health. Yesterday there were 3,190. Instead, there are 27 victims in one day (yesterday there were 23). 

There are 209,719 molecular and antigenic swabs for the coronavirus carried out in the last 24 hours in Italy. Yesterday there were 83,223. The positivity rate is 2.3%, down from 3.8% yesterday. 

There are 4,363,374 cases in Italy since the beginning of the epidemic, 128,115 deaths. The discharged and healed are instead 4,141,043, with an increase of 3,615 compared to yesterday. Currently positive are 94,216, up 1,199 units in the last 24 hours. 

There are 258 patients hospitalized in intensive care for Covid in Italy, 9 more than yesterday in the balance between income and expenses. The daily admissions, according to data from the Ministry of Health, were 26 (yesterday they were 25). The hospitalized with symptoms in the ordinary wards are 2,196, 126 more than yesterday. 

As regards the trend in the regions, in the last 24 hours 809 new cases have been recorded in Sicily, 663 in Veneto, 586 in Lombardy, 421 in Lazio, 365 in Emilia Romagna, 361 in Campania, 213 in Puglia, 210 in Sardinia, 194 in Piedmont, 123 in Calabria, 94 in Friuli Venezia Giulia, 81 in Liguria, 24 in Trentino.
