She stated during the media briefing, yesterday, that the drug "Stromifab" is made of a protein that targets the virus at an early stage during its entry into the patient's body, and it has the greatest effect when used on patients who are most prone to complications, as it prevents the disease from developing into severe cases or death.

She indicated that studies have proven the drug’s success in preventing disease progression to death by 97%, preventing patients from entering intensive care by 99.5%, complete recovery in 14 days of receiving the drug by 99%, and reducing patients’ stay in hospitals by 20%, and the number of drug recipients in The state is 13 thousand people.

She revealed that the vaccine has been provided in all regions of the country, and it can be used to treat adults and children over 12 years of age, who meet certain criteria and are at severe risk of developing “Covid-19” symptoms, such as those with chronic diseases, the elderly, and pregnant women.

She added that vaccinations contribute to the prevention of infection and complications of the disease, admission to hospitals, reducing the period of stay in hospitals, and the absence of the need for artificial respirators compared to the unvaccinated group.

She noted that since the start of the pandemic, the UAE has adhered to the principle of health as a priority, strengthened the health sector with qualified medical cadres, and established specialized hospitals in record time, to adopt the latest health practices with high efficiency.

She stressed the need to adhere to health protocols related to infection and to communicate with health authorities as soon as possible, to ensure access to treatment that will accelerate the pace of recovery, as early therapeutic intervention is one of the most important factors in treating the disease and preventing any complications.

She noted that the state is keen to follow up on its nationals when they travel to other countries, and with the passing of the pandemic, the “We and You” team was formed, in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, and representatives of local health authorities, to follow up on cases of infection for citizens of the country abroad.

And she cautioned that if any member of the elderly family is infected, it is important to reassure him and quickly go to the competent health centers, to give him the necessary treatments and not to be negligent in that to ensure his health and safety and provide him with the necessary care.

It called upon those wishing to travel to take the two doses of the vaccine and obtain health insurance that includes global insurance against the virus, as well as register in the “Tawajudi” service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, and adhere to all precautionary measures even if they are not applied in that country of headquarters.
