The White House advisor to the health crisis ruled out the application of new closure measures in the United States.

And while Saudi Arabia began banning unvaccinated people from the Corona virus from entering public administrations and private institutions, infections and deaths decreased in Britain and Morocco.

So far, the number of new infections with the Corona virus around the world has reached 197 million and 886 thousand, of whom 4 million and 380 thousand have died, according to statistics published by Reuters on Sunday evening.

And the French news agency reported that on Saturday, there were 8,830 additional deaths and 514,389 new infections in the world.

The United States remains the most affected country in terms of deaths (613,157) and injuries (34,978,461), according to Johns Hopkins University figures.

And the White House health crisis advisor, Anthony Fauci, said Sunday that he does not believe that the United States will implement closure measures again, even if the situation “deteriorates” due to “the outbreak of the epidemic among the unvaccinated.”

The vaccine is the solution

He stressed that "the solution is to receive the vaccine, and in this case all of this will not happen," praising the effectiveness of vaccines against Covid-19, which "makes the infection not dangerous" and prevents "from hospitalization or possibly death."

"When non-vaccinated people become infected, they contribute to the spread of the epidemic, which ultimately affects everyone," he said.

"Vaccines are highly effective even against the delta mutant," said Francis Collins, director of the National Institutes of Health.

So far, 60% of American adults have received the vaccine, but there are significant differences between the better-vaccinated North and the more frequent South.

After the United States, Brazil comes in second with 556,370 deaths and 19,917,855 injuries, followed by India with 424,351 deaths and 31,655,824 injuries, then Mexico with 240,906 deaths (2 million, 848,252 injuries) and Peru with 196,353 deaths (2 million, 111,393 injuries).

In Britain, the authorities recorded 24,470 new cases on Sunday, down from 26,144 cases the day before, and 65 deaths were recorded, within 28 days of the disease being confirmed, down from 71 cases.

The government also said that 46,851,145 people had received the first dose of an anti-Covid-19 vaccine, and that 38,345,841 people had received two doses.

In Italy, the Ministry of Health recorded 5 new deaths related to the Corona virus today, Sunday, down from 16 cases the previous day, while the total number of new daily infections decreased to 5,321 cases from 6,513.

Italy has recorded 128,068 deaths related to Covid-19 since the outbreak of the epidemic in the country in February last year, which is the second highest death toll in Europe after Britain and the eighth in the world.

So far, Italy has recorded 4 million 355 thousand cases of infection to date.

In the Arab world, the Moroccan Ministry of Health announced on Sunday 6,189 new infections with the Corona virus, down from 7,529 cases recorded Saturday.

The total number of injuries in the Kingdom rose to 629,717.

The ministry's data indicated that 48 new deaths were recorded, down from 53 yesterday, bringing the total to 9,833 deaths.

More than 13 million people in Morocco have received the first dose of the vaccine so far, while more than 10 million have received the second dose.

Strict procedures

In Saudi Arabia, on Sunday, the authorities began banning the entry of unvaccinated people against the Corona virus to public administrations and private institutions.

The Kingdom is tightening the screws on those hesitating to receive anti-Covid-19 vaccines, in conjunction with opening its lands to fully vaccinated tourists.

And the kingdom had announced in May that vaccination would be mandatory from August to enter public administrations and private institutions, including educational institutions and entertainment venues, as well as public transport.

It also decided that only vaccinated employees in the private and public sectors can return to the workplace.

Saudi Arabia has adopted an electronic application called “Tawakulna”, on which residents record the doses of the vaccine they received, and the application on Sunday became the key to entering public places in the Kingdom, which has a population of about 35 million people.

And on Sunday, the Ministry of Human Resources announced a system to regulate the work of unvaccinated employees, ranging from remote employment to granting them paid vacations from their annual balance, up to the deduction of salaries.

The start of implementing the decision coincides with the Kingdom’s reopening its lands on Sunday to fully vaccinated tourists, after nearly 17 months of suspending tourist visas due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

And last month, Saudi Arabia required all of its citizens to receive a second dose of coronavirus vaccines to allow them to travel outside the kingdom.

The Kingdom is working to speed up the nationwide vaccination campaign, as it seeks to revive tourism and host sports and entertainment events that form the cornerstone of the "Vision 2030" program aimed at diversifying the oil-dependent economy.

So far, Saudi Arabia has recorded more than 525,000 cases of coronavirus, including 8,237 deaths.

More than 26 million doses of an anti-Coronavirus vaccine have been administered to the population of the Kingdom, according to data published by the Ministry of Health on Saturday.
