The U.S. Embassy expresses its condolences on the death of Zasursky

“We mourn the passing of Yasen Zasursky, President of the Faculty of Journalism at Moscow State University.

We are grateful to him for his contribution to the creation of modern media in Russia, the education of a new generation of Russian journalists, as well as for the establishment of relations between the United States and Russia, ”the statement reads.

Lomonosov Yasen Zasursky died on Sunday, August 1.

The farewell will take place on 4 August in the courtyard of the university journalism faculty.

He will be buried at the Troekurovsky cemetery.

Zasursky was born on October 29, 1929 in Moscow. In 1953, he began teaching, in particular, he was engaged in the study of the history of foreign literature and journalism, the study of media systems in foreign countries.
