Sixty km of railway tracks will now be changed between Gävle and Söderhamn

The 40-year-old track has done its thing and now it's time for a proper refurbishment.

In addition to 60 km of new track, there will also be several new, modern gears with heat and snow protection.

According to the Swedish Transport Administration, it will be a more stable and punctual railway where the trains run quieter and the comfort for passengers increases.

- The railway will be more robust, more reliable and it will be more comfortable, says Adam Larsson, project manager at the Swedish Transport Administration.

And during the work, travelers are affected by greatly extended travel times.

- It may have a meaning that I do not understand that you have to keep on during the holidays.

It is the same every year.

So it's a bit difficult and you get to know about the change late, says traveler Kerstin Wadelius.

The Swedish Transport Administration states that the replacement of the railway track is ready by 22 November.
