The "Valley of Death" mystery to be solved
Heizhugou Scenic Area is located in Heizhugou Town, Ebian Yi Autonomous County, Leshan City, Sichuan. It has a total area of 838 square kilometers and a core scenic area of 575 square kilometers. It is a national nature reserve, a national forest park and a national 4A tourist attraction.
Since ancient times, Heizhugou has been mysterious and unpredictable. Many legends have not been solved for many years. Among them, the mystery of mysterious disappearance is the most circulated: people and animals entering Heizhugou have repeatedly disappeared and died.
Because it is located at 30 degrees north latitude and is at the same latitude as the Bermuda Triangle and the Egyptian pyramids, it is called "Bermuda of China" at home and abroad. Its core area, Rosoida Gorge, means "Valley of Death" in Yi language.
According to reports, in 1950, more than 30 people from a remnant of Hu Zongnan of the Kuomintang in the Battle of Xichang crossed Heizhugou. Only one staff officer who was carrying food survived forever and was rescued by the father of a guide in the scientific expedition team.
Since 1951, the South Sichuan Forestry Bureau, the exploration team of the Sichuan Forestry Department, the army surveying and mapping team and the Yi nationality compatriots have been in distress in Heizhugou many times, causing three deaths and three injuries, and two missing.

A lot of technical preparations were made in the early stage of this scientific expedition.
Expert consultants were invited in geological surveying and mapping, life sciences, outdoor imaging, mountain disasters, extreme adventures, etc., and 4 field surveys were conducted.

The team members used the electronic equipment and Beidou compass they carried to record the altitude, risk points, camping points, water sources, and other information along the route, as well as geomagnetic deflection. In the core area of the Rossoida Gorge, the geomagnetic deflection measured on the spot is as much as 30 degrees. This is the first time anyone has measured data here.
Along the way, fresh wild panda dung, Davidia involucrata known as the "Plant Giant Panda", and the tall and rare tree species "Arboreum Rhododendron" different from the common "shrub rhododendron" were found.

This time Heizhugou was able to traverse successfully, but it still depends on "careful preparation + professional skills + rich experience + courage and courage" to win.
Liu Yong said that Heizhugou has alpine meadows, valleys, dense forests, streams, waterfalls, and more than 3000 kinds of animal and plant resources.
These various forms of natural resources are combined to form a gathering place for mountain expedition resources.
