"We are ready to work with the Taliban, we are ready to take them into the government, we are ready for peace with them and the division of power with them," Atmar said in an interview with the Izvestia newspaper.
According to him, there are not very many conditions for this: the future of Afghanistan should be decided by the free will of the Afghan people, Afghanistan should not pose a threat to any country, and there should not be a single foreign terrorist force on its territory.
He added that the government is ready to accept the Taliban as its part if the latter do not support terrorism.
Earlier, Taliban militants again attacked the office of the UN mission in Afghan Herat.
