For a period of three years, the care employee must have received a total of SEK 35,000 from the user, who according to the report felt worse as a result of the relationship.

The notification states, however, that this is not a form of coercion - the user must have offered to help financially, and shown reluctance to accept other staff in the home.

Felt selected

It appears from the report, made by a business manager, that the user initially felt special and selected when the employee shared their problems.

But over time, the problems must have overshadowed the care relationship and a co-dependence has arisen, the complainant says.

Wanted to change staff

The consequences of the relationship for the user are described as, among other things, deteriorating mental health and anxiety.

The situation was discovered after the user asked for other staff and then told about the problem.

According to the report to Ivo, the employee has taken full responsibility for the situation.
