It is the Swedish Dynamic Sport Shooting Association that arranges the Swedish premiere championship in this particular form of competition, where the rules were in place as late as 2019. With a corona year behind them, they are happy that this year's competition ended.

- Finally we are up and shooting again, says Magnus Boström at Bofors shooting range shooting corps and the event's match director.

When this weekend's SM competition is over, 394 starts will have been made by about 250 competitors.

You can take part in several different classes and the participants range from just under 20 years to 70.

Veteran waiting to be admitted

At lunchtime, 70-year-old Göran Wallström from Alingsås was waiting to make his first start in his class;

supersenior.

He was the fourth to receive an IPSC license in the Swedish association and has thus been involved from the start in the 70s, but this particular branch of competition is new to him.

- It feels very exciting!

I have not seen the stations or anything like that.

It will be very exciting to get inside the gates here and start shooting, he says.
