A total of 95 people have now been fined for playing loud music from vehicles in public places since the introduction of the new law on July 1 this year.

The police estimate that about a thousand people and 150-200 cars visited central Rättvik both on Friday and Saturday.

But despite the police judging that the degree of intoxication of many was high, no serious crimes have been reported that can be linked to the incident.

Burn-out in a crowd

In other respects, several hundred people had their alcohol poured out, 13 people were taken into custody for drunkenness and one person is reported for negligence in traffic after making a "burn-out" in a crowd. The person also had his driving license taken care of in connection with the incident.
