01 August 2021Italy will challenge France in the quarter-finals of the Olympic basketball tournament. This was established by the draw carried out today in Saitama, at the end of the elimination rounds.
The other quarters are Slovenia-Germany, Spain-United States and Australia-Argentina. Italy closed the first phase in second place in group B behind Australia, France, who defeated the USA at their debut, first in group A.
The match between the Azzurri and the French Alps will be played on Tuesday 3 August at 17.20 local (10.20 in Italy). Whoever passes will see the semi-final against the winner of Slovenia-Germany.
