Tokyo2020, Azzurri of volleyball beat Iran and reach the quarterfinals

01 August 2021 The draw held this evening at the Ariake Arena has decreed that Argentina will be Italy's opponent in the quarter-finals of the men's Olympic volleyball tournament (on the field on Tuesday 3 August at 10 am Italian time, 5 pm local time).
The Azzurri, second in pool A behind Poland, therefore caught the third of pool B, behind ROC and Brazil. The other teams qualified for the quarterfinals are Japan and Canada for pool A, while Argentina and France also advance for pool B.
Italy and Argentina recently met in two test matches on the eve of their departure for the Far East (10 and 11 July in Cisterna di Latina), with two victories for the Azzurri.
Whoever passes the round will have the winner of Poland-France in the semifinals. The other quarters are Japan-Brazil and Canada-ROC (Russia).
