- France: more than 200,000 demonstrators against the health pass

The pandemic has killed at least 4,202,179 people around the world since the end of December 2019, according to a report established by AFP from official sources on Friday.

The United States is the country with the most deaths (613,133), ahead of Brazil (556,370), India (423,217), Mexico (239,997) and Peru (196,214).

The WHO estimates, taking into account the excess mortality directly and indirectly linked to Covid-19, that the toll of the pandemic could be two to three times higher than that which is officially established.
