The Egyptian team left the men's football competitions in the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, losing to its Brazilian counterpart 0-1 today, Saturday, in the quarter-finals of the competition.

Matthews Cunha, the German striker for Hertha Berlin, scored the winning goal for the Samba team in the 37th minute, taking advantage of the large spaces in the Egyptian defense.

The Egyptian team scored a good march in the Olympics, as it started its campaign in the group stage with a goalless draw with Spain, then lost to Argentina with a goal, before beating Australia with two goals without a response.

As for the Brazilian team, it started its campaign by beating Germany 4-2, then drew 0-0 with Ivory Coast, and beat Saudi Arabia 3-1.
