Tents and caravans are scattered around the village farm, because not everyone gets a place to live inside the houses.

Every summer since 2013, the meetings have been held (with the exception of 2020).

The last four times they have been to Järnboås.

- It is not easy to find here the first time, but here is everything;

baths, accommodation and large lawns for the children to play on, says Lucy Larsson who coordinates the meeting.

Get from Samoa in Sweden

She moved to Sweden thanks to love, something she shares with many others at the meeting.

They are just over 60 children and adults who have been praised this weekend - there are few people from Samoa who live in Sweden.

Lucy thinks she reached everyone with an invitation.

- I think everyone knows, we spread it through social media, but if you see this and are from Samoa and have not received an invitation, you are welcome, she says with a big smile.

Recovery

Even if they are only seen once a year, the meeting is important for recovery, exchange of experiences and shared joy of sharing food and culture.

- What we do here is a way to maintain our own identities and our belonging.

It helps us to integrate into society.
