Egypt..a passenger train collided with a concrete platform at the Nag Hammadi station

Two people were injured, as a passenger train collided with a concrete bumper at the Nagaa Hammadi railway station, causing the front of the train to collapse and to remove the concrete bumper from the severity of the collision.

A source in the railway authority said that the collision occurred as a result of the train's brakes tightening, which prompted the tractor to hit the concrete bumper, as the train was destined for the journey between Nagaa Hammadi - and Sohag.

He added that the Railway Authority in Qena, based on the instructions of Kamel Al-Wazir and the Minister of Transport, will form an engineering committee to uncover the real causes of the collision and to hold the drivers accountable for the tractor that collided in the concrete bumper.

The source confirmed that the railway movement was not affected by the collision, because it occurred in a bumper far from the railway line on which trains pass in the maritime and tribal directions, and the effects of the accident are being lifted.

The Qena ambulance facility said that only two people were injured in the accident, and the rest of the passengers were not injured.
