After 18-29-year-olds had the opportunity to book an appointment for vaccination for a week, 49 percent had made a move.

Since then, a few more percent have booked an appointment.

The rate of booking has also been low among Blekinge's 30-39-year-olds, said Mats Berggren, vaccine coordinator in the Blekinge Region, recently.

SVT Blekinge therefore took us out to hear what some younger Blekingar had for plans for vaccination against covid-19.

Adriana Brunström, 22, is one of those who took the first shot.

- I have siblings who work in healthcare and that may have influenced my decision.

But for my part, I feel that it has been hard to study from home.

I study at a university where most things have happened at a distance and it is difficult to do group work over a computer.

Sisters Alva and Saga Evertsson, 17, plan to get vaccinated when it is their turn and think that it is not just for their own sake that they get vaccinated.

- You want to help society a little and reduce the spread of infection, says Alva Evertsson.

They are aware of the low booking rate in the age groups 18-29 and 30-39, respectively, but they say that there is a great deal of consensus among their group of friends on the issue of vaccination.

- Most of our friends have said that they should take the syringe.

I actually do not think I have heard anyone say that they should not take it, says Saga Evertsson.
