This week, the first colloquium week started at Balsta music castle, and on Friday a grand concert is expected for the first colloquium group.

For three weeks, Lira summer camp will receive more than 30 new participating children and young people per week.

Grown over the years

- We have grown in number and there is a great interest in participating.

This year we are up to a hundred participants in total and when we started we only had one week with 25 participants, says project manager Frida Herchenröther.

Together with Studiefrämjandet and Eskilstuna municipality, she has made the summer lottery at Balsta music castle possible.

"It is required that younger people enter the music life"

- It is a good opportunity for young people to play music.

It is required that younger people enter the music life in order for there to be a healthy and vibrant cultural life, says David Damberg, college leader from Studiefrämjandet.
