The President of the Government has reserved an announcement for the Conference of Presidents of Salamanca.

Pedro Sánchez has announced the arrival of 3.4 million additional doses of Pfizer vaccines to meet the

goal of vaccinating 70% of the population before the end of August.

"Just yesterday, the minister closed the arrival of 3.4 million additional doses from Pfizer in August.

We will go from 12 to 16 million doses in that month

, to guarantee that 70% immunization is achieved," said Pedro Sánchez.

In a joint intervention with the host, the president of Castilla y León, Alfonso Fernández Mañueco, Sánchez assured that "the vaccination strategy is being a resounding success" and has congratulated himself on the good economic data, since this Friday GDP has been known to have risen 2.8% quarter-on-quarter and 19.6% year-on-year.

Mañueco has asked him to

"advance in co-governance"

and that the dialogue now be "fruitful."

"We must bet on a real co-governance," said the 'popular' baron.

"That this conference is a turning point," he claimed.

"We think it is positive news" the arrival of more vaccines, he added, before going to claim again a Covid fund for the autonomies.
