The rain came on Thursday night.

- We have often slept in caravans, but I have never experienced anything like this.

It was huge what it rained and thundered, says Anna Franzén.

The family comes from Kungsbacka and consists of her, her husband Magnus and their two sons aged eleven and fifteen.

Everyone was in the caravan and had a hard time sleeping in the storm.

- I was half dozing when I suddenly heard a knock on the door.

My husband opened it and then someone said that everyone must move the cars immediately.

By then, the water had already filled the awning and was almost up at the threshold of the caravan, Anna Franzén continues.

He out at the last minute

They just managed to leave and close the caravan before the water penetrated.

- Then we waded with the children through the bodies of water.

When my husband returned to the caravan later that night to check, it was full of water as well.

- We had stuff in the awning - shoes, fishing rods, clothes, life jackets, chairs ... Now they are a lot of mud and brown water here, she says on Friday morning.

Searched for refuge in a family's conservatory

The family fled up to a hill where they were allowed to enter someone's conservatory.

- There we slept in their chairs last night.

Some had taken a car up to the heights and slept in the car.

And some stayed in their caravans.

They got water in but could sit in the beds without getting wet, says Anna Franzén.

On Friday morning, a large part of the water has sunk away, but the traces of the night's storm remain:

- Now it floats around everything possible here in the water.

Shoes, toilet tanks from caravans, parts of a terrace ...
