[Explanation] From my first trip to Beijing with my family in 1998, to attending the Summer Camp of Southern Fujian Culture Study at Xiamen University in 2008, to getting to know good relationships and rooting in Shenyang.
The 34-year-old Luo Dingjun devoted nearly half of his previous life to the business of communicating and understanding between young people on both sides of the strait.
Recently, Luo Dingjun told reporters in Shenyang how he built a "bridge of communication" between youths on both sides of the strait.
[Explanation] Luo Dingjun is regarded as the first batch of Taiwanese youths to come to the mainland. In 1998, he came to Beijing to see Tiananmen Square and the Great Wall, and experienced the winter in the north.
In 2008, after a lapse of ten years, Luo Dingjun came to Beijing again. In addition to seeing scenic spots such as the Bird's Nest and Water Cube, he was shocked by the changes in the mainland.
In the same year, Luo Dingjun participated in a summer camp in Fujian.
Here he had in-depth exchanges with more mainland peers, and then, in Taiwan, Luo Dingjun received a group of exchange students from the mainland, making him determined to become a "bridge of communication."

The most important thing is because there are mainland classmates, mainland students, and good friends of the same grade who came to Taiwan to exchange, then met them, and then took them to play in Taiwan.
So I think it’s better for me to come to get to know the mainland, because after all, they are all of the same root and species, all Chinese, and then I started my interest in the mainland like this.
[Explanation] For Luo Dingjun, the biggest gain from investing in the cause of getting to know each other with mainland youths is that he has gotten a good relationship.
Luo Dingjun and his wife met when his wife went to study in Taiwan. As a Taiwanese youth who actively communicated with mainland youths, Luo Dingjun took the initiative to show his enthusiasm and cheerfulness, and the two finally married.
He also became an uncle of Shenyang.
When it comes to life after marriage, Luo Dingjun said that he and his wife are very affectionate, but due to the different living environment since childhood, Luo Dingjun's home also made some funny things.

Some of the language is different, and then you may be less used to it.
In the north and northeast, I want to talk about lifting the bar, meaning to fight, bar, lifting the bar, and then say you want to lift the bar with me, just fight.
Then I said huh?
Lift the bar, isn't it the Hokkien chat?
Do you want to chat with me?
They all say you want to lift the bar, well, let's chat.
They say huh?
Just laughed, I said, how can you also speak Hokkien to chat?
[Explanation] In Luo Dingjun's view, taking his own home as an example, as long as both parties can communicate frankly and understand each other, then no matter what kind of cultural differences, the barriers caused by growth experience will disappear.
And he also integrates his own experience and perception more into his career.
He often travels across the strait, giving lectures, participating in forums, organizing activities, and passing on the latest policies to each other.
On the WeChat public account "Youths on Both Sides of the Strait" that he created, he not only publishes information and shares resources, but also through the background, he incarnates as a bridge for cross-strait youth exchanges.

There are still a lot of compatriots on the island, especially the young people from Taiwan who want to come to the mainland for employment and business life to study, so I still do what I can.
I think it can help a good friend, or help a young Taiwanese or compatriot from Taiwan, come to the mainland to find employment and start a business life. At least you can come and have a look. I think this is also a kind of cross-strait ethnicity, because I am a long-term travel between the two sides of the strait. Family, and then I feel this kind of responsibility and obligation.
[Explanation] Speaking of the situation in the past two years, the new crown pneumonia epidemic must be an unavoidable topic.
As a "bridge of communication" between the two sides of the strait, Luo Dingjun has organized many activities with several other Taiwanese youths, inviting mainland youths and Taiwanese youths to pray for the cross-strait and call for the new crown pneumonia vaccine for Taiwan. He also knows what he knows. The methods and methods of epidemic prevention from the mainland are passed back to Taiwan for people to learn and understand.

I followed a group of good friends in the mainland, such as Zheng Boyu, Rox, and other outstanding Taiwanese youths, and then we launched a short video of I love the mainland on the mainland, letting our compatriots on both sides of the strait join hands in fighting the epidemic, and at the same time we also followed Wu Jingjun in Taiwan, etc. Wait, Taiwanese folks on the island, good friends, jointly initiated and said, I am in Taiwan, we are Taiwan compatriots, we are in Taiwan, but we hope to be vaccinated with any new crown vaccine donated by the mainland, just echo each other, count me as me I feel that during the epidemic, we will do this together in tandem.
I think it is quite meaningful.
[Explanation] Nowadays, the new crown pneumonia epidemic has caused a lot of trouble in the movement of people across the strait. Luo Dingjun has not returned to Taiwan for a long time, but he has not slackened.
He is also constantly learning new communication methods and expressions, hoping to build more "bridges of communication" through more models.
