An Israeli merchant ship was attacked in the night off the coast of Oman in the Arabian Sea. This was announced by the British Ministry of Defense, specifying that it is investigating what happened. Previously, United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations, a group linked to the Royal Navy, had announced in a short note that the accident had occurred off the island of Masirah, about 300km south of Muscat. Israeli officials have not yet confirmed or commented on the incident which fits into growing tensions between Israel and Iran.
