The increase in the total area of fires occurred, among other things, due to counter-firing on forest fires operating in the Pryazhinsky region, ”the message says.
It is noted that "more than 550 people are involved in the extinguishing: the Karelian Forest Protection Center, tenants, the Ministry of Emergency Situations, fire service units, volunteers, Avialesokhrana, as well as specialists from the Arkhangelsk and Murmansk regions and about 100 units of equipment."
