The widow of the

Haitian president

returns for the first time in this interview to this horrible night and the searing pain of seeing her husband, a man with whom she had shared 25 years of her life, being killed before her eyes.

In this interview with the

New York Times

, Martine Moïse takes advantage of this interview to ask for the help of the United States in the investigation into the murder of her husband.

Like many Haitians, she asks herself

many questions

: How is it that there are no injuries on the side of the 40 to 50 people in charge of the president's security?

Who is the real sponsor of this operation led by a commando which seemed seasoned?

Martine Moïse, candidate for the next presidential election?

An operation that cost a lot of money and that none of the defendants

so far mentioned by the

Haitian

authorities

had the means to finance.

She recalls that her husband "

stood up to the rich and the powerful

", suggesting that the sponsor (s) should be sought from "

the rich oligarchs of the country

 ".

Martine Moïse cites names, without accusing them directly.

In this very long interview, the former first lady announces that she would seriously consider running for president.

A decision she will make after other surgeries she has to undergo on her injured arm.

A right arm of which she could never find the use again.
