It is not yet an official declaration of candidacy for Laurent Wauquiez, but it looks like it. In an interview with
Figaro Magazine
, the former boss of the Republicans outlines his project for France.
Work, public money, immigration: "
His 3 priorities to repair the country
", he explains.
In general, the right accelerates the pace before the re-entry.
In recent days, the president of Ile-de-France,
Valérie Pécresse
, and the doctor Philippe Juvin have declared themselves candidates for the election of 2022. The Vendée senator Bruno Retailleau or the former Brexit negotiator,
Michel Barnier
, they too think very strongly about it.
Primary or not?
They all agree - all - for a “single candidacy” from the right, but they have two problems.
On the one hand, they do not know how to go about deciding this candidate.
Should we go through the primary box or not?
The question will be decided at the end of September.
And on the other hand, they are disturbed by the strategy of the
president of Hauts-de-France Xavier Bertrand
, who traces his path all alone.
Laurent Wauquiez also launches a call to order in the Figaro: "
Winning together
, he said,
that is not an option, it is a duty for everyone
".
