It is clarified that Donoghue sent the committee the details of a phone call with Trump, during which the ex-President of the United States tried to put pressure on the new acting president.

Attorney General Jeffrey Rosen, as well as Donoghue himself, to declare the elections "illegal" and "corrupt."

At the same time, Trump ignored the fact that the Justice Department did not reveal the facts of falsification of the voting results.

“Just say the elections were corrupt and leave the rest to me and the congressmen,” Trump said during the call.

The chairman of the US House of Representatives oversight body, Carolyn Maloney, concluded that the information about this call is evidence that Trump "directly instructed the highest law enforcement agency in our country to take steps to cancel free and fair elections in the last days of his presidency."

In early July, Donald Trump announced that he had made a decision on his participation in the presidential elections in 2024.

He added that he himself "does not want this," but "the country needs it."
