Prime Minister Suga is in talks with Minister Nishimura and others on measures against the new coronavirus.

It seems that discussions are underway, such as the handling of emergency declarations to the three prefectures of Saitama, Chiba, and Kanagawa, where the infection is spreading rapidly.

In Tokyo, which has entered the period of the fourth state of emergency from the 12th of this month, the number of newly infected people has been confirmed on the 29th and 3rd consecutive days, and the infection is spreading all over the country.

Following the 27th and 28th, Prime Minister Suga is having a meeting with the Minister for Economic Revitalization Nishimura and the Minister of Health, Labor and Welfare Tamura at the Prime Minister's Office from around 5 pm on the 29th.

At the meeting, it seems that discussions are being held on how to handle the state of emergency in the three prefectures of Saitama, Chiba, and Kanagawa, where the infection is spreading rapidly, and how to deal with other areas.

Once the policy is finalized, the government will formally decide on the 30th after consulting with the "Basic Coping Policy Subcommittee" made up of experts on infectious diseases.
