The man she is talking about, who has been charged with incitement to murder but was convicted of aiding and abetting murder, preparation for murder and a felony, has told things that simply agree well with other evidence.

Other defendants are considered to have told the truth regarding parts of the course of events, but could have been disproved by prosecutors regarding matters that were sensitive to themselves.

- This applies to both oral testimony - that is, what the plaintiffs said - but also the massive written material.

Not least all encrochat material, says Cecilia Ahlström.

Encrochat important part of evidence

Encrochat is the name of the encrypted phone app that French police managed to crack, and which led to a large number of criminals being prosecuted.

- The Encrochat data in this case has given a clear picture of how the murder of several plaintiffs was planned and how ruthless that planning has been, says Cecila Ahlström.

The background to the murder in the Old Town is the ongoing, violent conflict between the two groups that was formed when the so-called A-phalanx in southern Biskopsgården split.

Several of those involved have grown up together and previously been friends.

Crowded, threatened and beaten

The man who told what the court perceived as truthful has said that he felt oppressed, exposed and threatened by others.

- This was the origin and motive for him.

He claims to have been threatened and beaten and wanted to save his own life, says Cecilia Ahlström.

On the same day as the murder, several people could be arrested.

- Yes, they had surveillance of some suspects, telephone tapping.

This allowed the police to locate them quickly.

Then there were several other people with them.

And when the police got the information from encrochat, even more could be arrested, says Cecilia Ahlström.
