A 16-year-old teenager drowned on Wednesday in a pond in the town of Val-d'Erdre-Auxence (Maine-et-Loire).

, a group of seven minors, supported by the association Abri de la Providence d'Angers, was out in the pond of Petit-Anjou, in Louroux-Béconnais.
Supervised by two educators, they played ball in an unsupervised swimming area.
One of them tried to retrieve it before disappearing a few meters from the bank.
According to the Angers public prosecutor, this young man knew how to swim well: “He had bathed a few hours before in the supervised area.
The prosecution has opened an investigation to determine the exact causes of death.
