Varied landscapes reminiscent of paintings by Picasso or Renoir, lakes for fly fishing, and the Irish people he describes as "happiness".

Every 100 meters, "a different picture"

"There is nothing as unpredictable as Ireland", affirms Pierre Perret, evoking landscapes which change from kilometer to kilometer. "You have a mountain, a dazzling place, a green that you only find there - because that color is predominant there -. And when the sheep are stung in the middle, it is a wonder!"

"There is no palette rich enough to evoke the sunsets that can be seen in the evening." For Pierre Perret, Ireland has something indescribable, "it's a gluttony of the eyes". Color changes linked to the vagaries of the Irish weather, which Pierre Perret delights in. "In Ireland, everything changes all day long", he says, "my favorite music is the rain taps." Rain that arrives unexpectedly, he continues. "A quarter of an hour later there is a dazzling sun, you go fishing, you take a downpour to lie down in the boat, and after you take a fish", laughs the singer.

It was his passion for fly fishing that led him to Irish waters.

"There is no one there, it's my wild side," he smiles.

"There are absolutely breathtakingly beautiful trout rivers. At every different turn, it's a different picture. Picasso, Renoir ... It's amazing. A hundred yards after a hundred yards, you never see the same in Ireland and it's a wonder, it's great. "

The Irish, "the epitome of simplicity"

A formula says that we leave for Ireland and that we come back for the Irish. "The Irish are the quintessence of simplicity, intelligence, empathy", abounds Pierre Perret. "The Irishman is a joy". Moreover, no one is alone in Ireland, explains the singer. "If you are alone for lunch, you sit at the bar, you will no longer be alone. There is a complicity, a natural and spontaneous friendliness!"

In addition, Pierre Perret evokes the "mysticity" which permeates the air of Ireland, through the small villages and small cemeteries paved with Celtic crosses. Small villages that have kept a soul, a life that we find less and less in France, explains Pierre Perret. "There are still plenty of little shops there, little shops that are there, that hold up and that always welcome you with a smile. And I admit that there are really only in Ireland find the tone of life that looks like this. "
