The UAE Government Media Office won an international award from the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity, one of the most important events in the world to honor creative mass communication and creative ideas for media campaigns. More than 29,000 campaigns and creative works from 90 countries around the world competed in its awards this year. The Lions International Awards for Creativity were judged by some of the world's most respected experts in mass communication, media and marketing.

The Media Office won the Silver Creativity Award for the category of external campaigns at the festival, for the media campaign of the Emirates Mars Exploration Project, "Probe of Hope", which was implemented last February, in conjunction with the arrival of the "Probe of Hope" within the Emirates Mars Exploration Project to the Red Planet in the first mission A satellite to explore planets led by an Arab country.

The Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity Awards were distributed in France last June, amid a global turnout from hundreds of entities, institutions and companies to win these prestigious awards, which are among the most important in the world in the field of media, mass communication and marketing.

The media office of the UAE government ran an extensive media campaign in conjunction with the arrival of the "Hope Probe", the first Arab space mission to explore planets under the name "Arabs to Mars". This campaign included many activities, events and sub-media campaigns, including the innovative educational media campaign " The moons of Mars, which witnessed the lighting of the Dubai sky, specifically the Al Qudra region, with two moons through modern technologies used for the first time in the Arab region.

This qualitative experience of the appearance of the moons of Mars in the sky of the UAE as part of the “Mars Moons” experience witnessed an unprecedented interaction from the pioneers of social media, in addition to inspiring members of society and increasing their awareness and space culture by raising scientific questions about the environment of Mars.

Saeed Al-Attar, Head of the Media Office of the UAE Government, said: “The Media Office is always keen to be on the same level as major national projects, events and initiatives by presenting media campaigns aimed at reaching community groups through various means and media, whether traditional or modern, locally and regionally. And globally, to ensure the effective delivery of the goals and messages of these projects to the receiving audience, and to ensure the required positive interaction with these national projects and events.”
