Regions feel that there is low interest in vaccination among young people. At the same time, the Swedish Public Health Agency's survey shows that people in younger age groups want to be vaccinated to the same extent as other age groups. According to state epidemiologist Anders Tegnell, it is important to attract young people in several different ways. - It is about making it as easily accessible as possible, says Tegnell.
One proposal for few young people to get vaccinated has been to introduce drop-in times for vaccination, as some regions have done.
According to Tegnell, however, this should be done as a second alternative.
- It is important that you fill in the booked times first.
