• Tova Moberg from Njutånger was murdered in May 2017 by about 20 hammer blows.
The ex-boyfriend was sentenced to life in prison on 3 May 2018 in the Court of Appeal.
• A man in Öster in Gävle reported himself to the police after strangling his wife.
He was sentenced on January 26, 2019 to 15 years in prison.
• 80-year-old demented man in Gävle murdered his wife after delusions in December 2018. He was sentenced to forensic psychiatric care for murder and the sentence fell 26 February 2019.
• A man in his 40s tortured his partner to death in Hudiksvall in December 2018. The Court of Appeal upheld the life sentence on 18 September 2019.
• A woman was found dead in her home in Ockelbo in July 2019. The woman's cohabitant was sentenced to 17 years in prison by the Gävle district court, but the sentence was then reduced by the Court of Appeal.
