The milestone of 40 million people who have received at least one dose has been reached, 62% of French adults have received their second dose.

The acceleration of the vaccination campaign is not in doubt.

However, there are still people to contact who are often isolated to offer them vaccination.

This Tuesday, July 27, from Polynesia, President Emmanuel Macron welcomed the fact that one in two French people had received a first dose of vaccine.

But he called to continue.

“

We must always do more, always do more, always do more

,” he insisted.

I'm not going to tell you that it's a point of arrival, I think it's a stage. i am happy that over the last ten days, we have accelerated considerably. So there was awareness, a mobilization, but we must continue to vaccinate, we still have available doses. We have them here, in French Polynesia, and more must be done, and I continue to call on all our fellow citizens to be vaccinated, and in particular our older fellow citizens or in a situation of overweight, or who have hypertension. I say this because even if they feel they are protected, if they are affected by the virus, we know it, they are the ones who have the greatest risk of hospitalization in the emergency room, and therefore it does not must not relax the effort. we continue and we vaccinate.

 "

However, for some populations, access to information on the vaccine does not happen naturally.

Elderly people, with co-morbidities, prisoners or very precarious: these are the audiences targeted by the “

Go to

” system of the Ministry of Solidarity and Health.

5,000 general practitioners

Initially reserved for over 75s, the “

Go to

 ”

strategy

aims to make it easier to make appointments for people who have remained outside the vaccination course.

Concretely, the Health Insurance calls them and offers them time slots near their homes.

Or the medical staff go, for example, directly to prison.

For ten days or so, treating physicians can also request a list of their unvaccinated patients from Health Insurance: more than 5,000 general practitioners have taken the step.

To reach people who are isolated, forgotten, or unable to reach a vaccination center, other methods have been put in place, including the deployment of ephemeral vaccination centers on beaches, in shopping centers or even in bus to reach the most remote places.
